Triple Trouble

Opis

Triple TroubleOpis:Tommy McCoy started playing guitar at the early age of 8, in 1962. Tommy says: "My earliest influences were Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Albert, B.

B. and Freddie, the three Kings of Blues guitar, also Mike Bloomfield and just about every other great Blues guitarist of the era." After having played all over Ohio from 1967 1976, and loathing the mean winters, Tommy moved to Florida, opened up a second-hand record store and started a Blues band. The Backdoor Blues band later morphed into the Screamin' Bluejays, featuring expatriate Brit bassist Barry Dean, from Oblivion Express and Denny Best, the drummer for Big Twist. McCoy joined The Telephone Kings in 1990. The outfit included three former members of the Gregg Allman Band. They recorded one album. Back in 1980, Tommy had gotten acquainted with Stevie Ray Vaughan. The two became friends and hung out together whenever Stevie spent time in Florida. A decade later Tommy went to Austin, Texas where he recorded the bulk of the tracks for this debut solo album with Chris Layton (drums) and Tommy Shannon (bass) a.k.a. Double Trouble Stevie Ray Vaughan s near-legendary rhythm section. Tommy McCoy combines the best of Blues and Southern Rock, performed with traditional integrity and contemporary originality. His choice of repertoire, original song writing, and his stunning but tasteful guitar work make 'Triple Trouble' a world-class recording deserving of worldwide recognition.
