Opis

Anatolian DancesOpis:DEM Trio, places the roots of its musical preferences within the Anatolian Traditional Music Culture, and sails to unknown harbours with the winds of improvisation. Besides, DEM's music is carrying a desire of putting forward an idea for "a specific polyphony based on Anatolian makam structures" that can be acquired through an ensemble of traditional instruments. The recordings on the new CD of the Trio witness a part of the Anatolian geography based journey of the Trio routing towards the dance repertoire of Anatolian land this time that can be traced back to ancient times.
