Telling TalesOpis:Product Description'Telling Tales' is a set of original compositions and improvisations, each one exploring a musical idea, colour or mood. Each tale has its own character varying from the intense "On the Edge" to the humorous "Bird in the Hand" to the calm and reflective "Upon Reflection". The quartet are the story tellers, each adding there own individual contributions to the whole. They are Harrison Smith (saxophones, bass clarinet, composer, leader) who recorded and toured in the UK with the popular South African inspired group 'District Six' throughout the 80's and 90's and who has worked with such diverse groups and musicians as Kenny Wheeler, Chris McGregor, Richard Thompson and various poets and dance companies. Liam Noble (piano) is a leader in his own right, having recorded and performed with his own Anglo-American group, as well as with Julian Siegal, Harry Beckett, Christine Tobin and Randy Brecker. Dave Whitford (bass) has recorded and performed with Hans Koller, Christine Tobin, Chris Biscoe and Stan Sulzmann.
