Entity

Opis

EntityOpis:In a joyous reunion after a long, 7-year hiatus, the Neil Cowley Trio reconvene giving rise to a creatively inspired recording, 'Entity', their 7th studio album. In 2006 the Neil Cowley Trio burst onto the scene with an exciting sound that fizzed with energy; their muscular anthems, galloping grooves and tender moments placed them at the forefront of the new 'post jazz' movement, paving the way for 6 highly acclaimed albums over 10 years. Cowley then pressed 'pause' to pursue a solo career - no less successful - with a focus on electronica. Now, stirred by his extended time of solitary music making, he makes a firm statement about the joy, comfort and the rewards of human connection in the digital age. Joining Cowley are his close musical allies, bassist Rex Horan and drummer Evan Jenkins; three friends giving their all to each other. Cowley is a brilliant composer and dazzling pianist and the trio flame still burns bright. 'Entity' is a magnificent return to form cementing the 'Neil Cowley Trio sound' - head-nodding wonky grooves, killer melodies, emotionally charged pieces with a glass like fragility laced throughout. It is a mature, sophisticated album of deeply impassioned music, delicate beauty, hooks aplenty and an ode to friendship. Available as 4-panel digipak CD and classic black vinyl editions, with unique artwork for both formats by Dan Buckley Thumbcrumble. Produced, mixed and engineered by Ethan Johns Mastered by Tony Cousins Vinyl cut by James Kedwards Press: "Entity is a startling album. It's a compellingly original journey that the trio take us on. I whole-heartedly recommend you take the journey too, it's an experience you won't forget. To my ears, it's nothing short of a masterpiece of music-making." - ***** UK Vibe "A masterclass in tension and release where even the most reflective of songs conceal telling hooks" - **** MOJO "They're back - and as mysterious, melancholic and mesmerising as ever...a must for fans." - **** Jazzwise "This is an album filled with melody, sophisticated playing, immediately catchy hooks, and, as always from Cowley, some witty track titles..an album in which joy and sonic beauty abound." - UK Jazz News "Cowley is a master of mood...

Entity exudes control and restraint...reveals a composer creating music that's understated but still varied in colour and character" - The ListAutor:Neil Cowley TrioNośnik:Płyt:Język: English: Original LanguageData wydania: 2024-09-20Waga: 0.11 gramWysokość: 0.3 cmSzerokość: 4.9 cmDługość: 5.6 cmUWAGA: Kupując produkt na tej aukcji zgadzasz się na wydłużony termin realizacji wysyłki (10-14 dni roboczych).
