Opis

ALBERGA:RDAHL SNOW WHITEOpis:Product DescriptionA wonderful and magical retelling of Roald Dahls Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs recorded in 1998 with new original music by Eleanor Alberga and until now never commercially released. The ideal Christmas present! Read by the legendary Danny DeVito, along with one of Britains most adored actresses Joanna Lumley, and the irrepressible Griff Rhys-Jones, this recording was made to benefit Roald Dahls Marvellous Childrens Charity which since 1991 has raised more than £5.5 million to help children living with serious blood or brain illnesses. Supported by a marketing campaign in conjunction with the Roald Dahl FoundationReviewSnow White is a wonderful piece. The music is a bit like Roald Dahl's words - thrilling, exciting, funny and sometimes a little bit frightening. I am hugely proud to have been involved in this recording, which helps raise money for a marvellously worthwhile cause --Joanna LumleyPeter Ash conducts a vigorous performance which is fully alive to the score's angularity and bold colourings.

I can imagine this CD being thoroughly relished by young families listening together, and it was certainly worth releasing.
