The Verdi Album

Opis

The Verdi AlbumOpis:Praised by BBC Music Magazine as a “force of nature”, the soprano Sonya Yoncheva has dedicated her latest album to the music of Giuseppe Verdi. Verdi’s oeuvre includes some of the most important repertoire for dramatic soprano. Included in Yoncheva’s album are arias from beloved masterpieces such as ‘Il trovatore’, ‘La forza del destino’, ‘Don Carlo’ and ‘Otello’ but also from earlier gems such as ‘Stiffelio’, ‘Luisa Miller’ and ‘Attila’. For this album, Yoncheva joins forces with conductor Massimo Zanetti, a musician well-versed in the works of this esteemed composer. Yoncheva has already received outstanding reviews for her interpretation of Verdi’s roles. The New York Times said of her performance in Otello "Her Desdemona shows why she is looking towards a major career".
