If You Want It, Here It Is LiveOpis:Badfinger, live from Granada TV studios, May 23rd 1972, with bonus tracks from ‘Beat Club’, WDR TV Studios, Bremen February 28th 1970 “No other group came as close as Badfinger to capturing the Lennon/McCartney song writing magic and vocals.” (Will Birch - The Kursaal Flyers/The Records) Badfinger’s undying legacy has spawned acclaim, suicides and immortality from power pop fans in a post-punk generation. They had it all - looks, hooks, harmonies and timeless songs - but it was swiftly taken away by bad management when fate befell a group feted as “the new Fab Four”. These precious, rare live recordings from the band’s formative years (No Dice, Straight Up) offer an invaluable glimpse into the promising talent, cruelly denied its rightful place in rock ‘n’ roll history. London Calling very proudly presents a prized snapshot of the band that “could have and should have been HUGE!!” with two stunning TV broadcasts, fully restored and professionally remastered and presented with background notes and timeline photos. • Features the incredible Granada TV performance from 1972, with two bonus tracks • Includes Granada TV and WDR-TV broadcasts • Full colour booklet with background notes and archival imagery • Professionally re-mastered for superb fidelity TRACKS: 1.
