Laidbook 03: The Cosmic Issue

Opis

Laidbook 03: The Cosmic IssueOpis:The Laidbook project is a wonderful limited special edition series of CD's beautifully packaged and complete with artwork collectors cards representing the cream of the new wave of Japanese funk hip hop and soul. Origami Productions present a unique monthly concept uniting freshest music from Mabanua, Shingo Suzuki, 45 aka Swing-O, Thirdiq, Think Twice, Vusik and the best in cutting edge japanese street design from Dragon, Glowz, Helllvetic, TKO. Laidbook is a four-piece unit made up of musicians who have all released albums in their own right. The band features mabanua on drums, Shingo Suzuki on bass, Yukihiro Atsumi (Thirdiq) on guitar and 45 a.k.a SWING-O on keyboards and they play some very soulful music. The package is not just about the music, however, as there are ten art CD jacket-sized cards featuring images produced by the band members and others in the Origami Productions team. Each card is distinctly different in style, with most good enough to be used as cover art in their own right. It's a bold new idea and a great way to promote new music and graphic artists.
