Non Je Ne Regrette Rien

Opis

Non Je Ne Regrette RienOpis:Edith Piaf was born in Paris on December 19, 1915. Shortly after birth, she was abandoned by her mother and initially grew up with her maternal grandmother. Her father then placed her with his mother. Her alcoholic and violent father took her on tour in a travelling circus from the age of 10. At the age of 15, she left her father and fought as a street singer in Paris, where she became known as “La môme piaf”, the little sparrow. Her first record was launched in 1935. In 1936, she achieved a breakthrough with “Mon légionnaire”, which was followed by further successes such as “L'Accordéoniste” (1940). Shortly after the war, she achieved one of her greatest successes with “La vie en Rose” (1947). At the end of the 50 years, when she once collapsed on stage, an incurable cancer was detected. Edith Piaf, however, continued to perform and during this difficult time she celebrated her greatest successes and released her two most successful records with “Milord” and “Non, je ne regrette rien”. In August 1963, her husband Théo Sarapo took his seriously ill wife to a country house in the south of France, where Edith Piaf died on 10 October 1963.
